While Melt enhances your experience, remember that not everyone might be open to immediate interactions. Always approach interactions with respect.

Melt is designed to work in all public places, however, use common sense to guide you choosing places to meet that are safe, open, busy, and well-lit. These settings offer a level of security and ease that ensures a positive experience. Be conscious of your safety when at venues that are no longer open, or where there are very few people around – remember safety in numbers.

Bring Friends Along:

Exploring Melt with friends can add to the excitement, fun and safety of the experience. Gather your pals and make the most of the moments while looking out for each other.

Respect Boundaries:

Every individual has different comfort zones. Always respect others’ personal space, boundaries, and preferences. If someone says ‘no’ to something, respect it, and do not push or convince them to do something they do not want to do. If someone does not respect that you have said ‘no’, consider disengaging from them, reporting them in the app or to venue staff if needed for your safety.

Stay in Public View:

When meeting on Melt, stay in public spaces and avoid private or secluded areas. This maintains a sense of security for both parties. Be wary of people you’ve just met asking you to leave the venue or go someplace private – wait until you get to know them and trust them before meeting privately.

If you decide to head out alone to meet on Melt, inform a friend or family member about your whereabouts and plans. This simple step can give you peace of mind and create a network of support.
